Located on the west facing Shelly Beach in Manly, The Boathouse offers an exclusive beachside venue for your wedding, event or celebration. The Boathouse Shelly Beach is suitable for both canapé + sit-down style events on the upper and lower levels of the building. The upper level of the building is entered via a garden boardwalk, and features an undercover outdoor balcony as well as a large open plan space with a bar. The lower level of the building features a large open place space with a bar as well as an outdoor undercover courtyard, surrounded by tropical landscaped gardens. Our team look forward to working with you to create a unique and memorable event!

You must have Bollinger Special Cuvée selected as your Champagne option in your unlimited beverage package to be able to hire the Bollinger Boat.

Bollinger Special Cuvée is included in Beverage Upgrade Two, or you may opt for a Bollinger upgrade if the base package or Upgrade One is chosen.
We can organise spirits for your wedding or event to be available. You can choose to have a pre-paid bar tab or allow for guests to purchase spirits. The spirits will be served from behind the bar, after main meal service, and must be mixed - we do not allow shots, or service of alcohol neat or on the rocks. Please let your Event Coordinator know prior to your wedding or event if you would like to have spirits.
Unfortunately we do not offer BYO.
Access is 2 hours prior. Earlier access can be confirmed closer to the date depending on other bookings. Please speak to your Event Coordinator to confirm timings.
Approximately one team member per 15 guests.
Yes, your Coordinator will be present at the beginning of your Wedding or Event to ensure that all is running smoothly and as planned.
A 3-piece band is the maximum we can allow, this includes the vocalist, no subwoofers are to be used in or outside the venue at any time and all music must cease at 11pm and 10pm on Sundays.
Yes, we do! Please list all guests in our Special Meal Requirements section on your Final Details Form, and we will cater for their needs
This is possible for an event. We do allow for sufficient enough time between each of our bookings if this is to happen. Please note, only one wedding is booked per day.
If you have the upstairs area booked for your wedding, the ceremony can also be held in this space at an additional cost. If you hold your reception downstairs you can hire the upstairs area for your ceremony for an additional cost. Please speak to your Event Coordinator for further information.

Yes, we have The Boathouse Ceremony Styling Package which may be set at a location on the Northern Beaches or on-site - please contact your venue Coordinator to check that the Ceremony Styling Package is available for your date.
We would love to take the stress away from you and be able to provide a breakfast or lunch whilst you are getting ready, or catering the following day. Speak to our events team and we would be more than happy to tailor a package for you. We offer catering online as well as catering in your home.
Yes, you are able to add guests up to the day of your event.
Unfortunately, we are unable to refund after the Final Invoice is issued.
You are welcome to do this, however all gifts and cards must be taken home by an allocated guest, or family member on the night of the event, and are not to be kept overnight at the venue.
